Business is any endeavor made by a person, or a group of people, to make a financial profit. It typically involves the trading of goods and/or services for money. There are many, many different types of enterprises that qualify as a business. For example, a person selling hot dogs on the street qualifies as business as does a construction company building a house.

The person can then use the money that they earn to buy the goods and/or services of other people. In this way, a person can make a living.
