Copyright infringement is a breach of a person's or business's personal property that has legal protection over it.

If a business takes out a copyright over material, then they have the full legal rights regarding the way in which the material is used and how it is distributed. The owner of the copyright can ban any other person from copying or otherwise distributing the information.
