Definition - What does Health Care Directive mean?

Health care directive is a type of a legal document that allows a person to set out his or her wishes related to medical care. This usually appears as a written document through which a person is named to carry out those wishes or make decisions about the signor's health in the event that they are no longer able to make their own decisions related to health care.
