Definition - What does Same-Sex Marriage mean?
Same-sex marriage is a marriage that is between people of the same gender. In the U.S., the legal right to allow a same-sex marriage was validated in June 2015. Since then, there have been reported cases of a few county registrars who refused to perform marriage ceremonies between people of the same sex, but in all cases, they were legally forced to perform the marriage ceremony regardless of their personal objections.
