A notice of intent to dissolve is issued by a corporation to the secretary of state's office in order to present final accounts and be taken off the tax register. Companies must show that they have given a proper amount of legal time for a creditor to be paid before the company dissolves and must show their accounts in relation to same before gaining approval to sign off.
