Alan Mouritsen is a member of the firm’s Litigation practice group and concentrates his practice on appeals, administrative law, personal injury, and copyright and trademark litigation.As part of his appellate practice, Mr. Mouritsen has written briefs in the Tenth Circuit, the Sixth Circuit, the Second Circuit, and the Utah Supreme Court. In addition, he has argued before the Utah Supreme Court and the Utah Court of Appeals. His work in the Tenth Circuit includes Lee v. Max International, LLC, in which the Tenth Circuit affirmed the district court's dismissal of the case as a discovery sanction. Mr. Mouritsen also serves as a member of the Advisory Committee for the Utah Rules of Appellate Procedure.Mr. Mouritsen grew up in and recently returned to Grantsville, Utah, where he currently serves as a member of the Tooele County Board of Education. He received his bachelor's degree cum laude from Pomona College.
