ALEX PAYNE is a member of h3gm’s Litigation Practice Group. He assists clients with corporate and contract disputes, financial services litigation, employment law matters and commercial bankruptcy and reorganization cases. Alex also counsels clients with respect to litigation aspects of Intellectual Property matters.
Alex earned his J.D. from Vanderbilt Law School where he was Order of the Coif, on the Dean’s list and received scholastic excellence awards for Constitutional Protection of Property Rights, Mental Health Law, and Foreign Affairs. He was also managing editor for the Vanderbilt Journal of Entertainment and Technology Law, Executive Editor for Obiter Dictum, and published a note regarding state and federal regulation of agents in college athletics. Alex interned in 2010 for the Honorable Juliet Griffin of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee.
He attended Kentucky Wesleyan College for his undergraduate degree, where he was valedictorian and a pitcher for the baseball team, where he earned 3-time Academic All-GLVC honors.
