Alexander S. Benezra
I have been an Arizona resident for more than 25 years. After graduating from Mountain Pointe High School, I attended Arizona State University, where I earned a B.S. in Political Science. During college, I had the opportunities to work on campus, at law firms, and the Governor's Office, where I responded to phone calls and letters on behalf of the Governor.
After college, I moved to Washington, DC, and attended the American University Washington College of Law. I earned my Juris Doctor in 2007 and was admitted to practice law in Arizona in 2008. Since graduating, I worked in a boutique litigation firm in Scottsdale handling small business disputes and personal injury matters. I also worked for the largest consumer bankruptcy firm in the country, representing people who were hit hard by the economic downturn and assisting them in getting back on their financial feet by taking advantage of the fresh start that bankruptcy provides.
Before starting this firm, I worked as a public defender, handling DUIs and other criminal matters of all types. As a public defender, I had no choice but to accept both simple and difficult cases. The experience taught me that every person and every case deserves my greatest effort, thinking, and creativity in representing my clients. I listened to my clients, heard their stories, and then did everything in my power to present their story in the way that benefitted them the most. Through my hard work, dedication, negotiating skills, and trial experience, I was able to reach positive outcomes for even the most challenging of cases.
Now, I bring all of my experiences to people who wants an attorney who works as hard for them as they do for themselves. When I'm not practicing, I like to spend time with my wife, working on home improvement projects, playing racquetball, and cheering on my Sun Devils.
