Additionally, she practices in the areas of family law, including wills & estates. Maintaining her commitment to the community, she also serves as Adjunct Professor at Jackson State University in the Department of Health Policy and Management. Amanda has served as Deputy City Attorney for the City of Jackson and Judicial Law Clerk for former Chief Judge Leslie King for the State of Mississippi Court of Appeals.
She has received numerous recognition and accolades by the profession and community, including being named one of the “Top 50 Women Lawyers in the Mid-South” by Super Lawyers; “Top Ten Leaders in Law for 2012” by the MS Business Journal; “2012 Top Attorneys in Mississippi Rising Stars” by the Memphis Magazine; “2011 Distinguished Service Award by the Mississippi Bar;” “2010 Young Lawyer of the Year” by Mississippi College School of Law, “People to Watch 2009” by MS Business Journal; “2009 Young Alumni of the Year” by the R. Jess Brown Chapter of Black Law Student Association and one of Jackson’s Young Influential for 2006.
