Mr. Maass is a civil trial lawyer with a focus on wrongful discharge/employment, personal injury and medical malpractice litigation. He tries cases to verdict each year. A substantial portion of Mr. Maass' practice also consists of counseling employers and management on employment and labor issues. Mr. Maass has experience litigating and advising employers on issues pertaining to union avoidance, collective bargaining, mediation and arbitration, and avoiding wrongful discharge claims. He frequently conducts employment-related training for businesses (i.e. FMLA/PFLA, ADA, sexual harassment, RIFS/downsizing). He is an approved trainer for equal employment/discrimination matters by the Civil Rights Unit of the Vermont Attorney General's Office.
