Andrew L. Farris
Andrew Farris graduated magna cum laude in 2000 from St. Mary’s College in Maryland, earning a B.A. with double majors in Anthropology and Political Science. He was awarded a J.D. in 2005 by the University of North Carolina School of Law, where he was an Articles Editor on the North Carolina Law Review and competed as a member of the Holderness Moot Court National Team.
Mr. Farris is a founding member of the Appellate Practice section of the North Carolina Bar Association. He is a member of the Criminal Defense section of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice as well as serving on its Legal Affairs Committee.
Mr. Farris represents clients in state and federal criminal matters, focusing on appellate advocacy and post-conviction litigation. Published decisions include State v. Smith, 736 S.E.2d 847 (2013), State v. Yancey, 727 S.E.2d 382 (2012), and State v. Dubose, 702 S.E.2d 330 (2010).
