J. Blake Hendrix was born in Memphis and raised in Little Rock, where he attended Catholic High School for Boys. He attended the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and received his law degree from the University of Arkansas in 1986. After serving as an Assistant Arkansas Attorney General, he went into private practice devoting his career to criminal defense, specializing in complex criminal litigation. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Arkansas Bar Association, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and Arkansas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He also serves as a member of the Arkansas Judicial Discipline and Disability Commission. He is listed in The National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Trial Lawyers and Best Lawyers in America® for criminal defense every year since 2006. In 2013, he was named Best Lawyers’ Lawyer of the Year – White Collar Defense, and in 2015 Best Lawyers’ Lawyer of the Year – Non-White Collar Defense.
