In 2015, Brianne joined the Legal Council as a staff attorney for AIDS Legal Council and Chicago Medical-Legal Partnership for Children programs. She provides direct representation to children and adults on a wide variety of legal issues and training to medical providers and legal professionals on topics related to Social Security disability, special education, and on the intersection of these topics with other areas of law and services.
Brianne brings years of experience working in both private firms and nonprofit organizations in the areas of Social Security disability, special education and school discipline, and guardianship to her role at the Legal Council. She worked at LAF (Legal Assistance Foundation) coordinating the Education Pro Bono Project, which worked with pro bono attorneys, parents, and clinicians to provide representation to low-income families. Brianne also represented numerous adult clients throughout the country while working for a national Social Security disability advocacy group.
