Bruce A. Elmore Jr.
I was born and Asheville and grew up around lawyers, including my father, his partners and friends and my mother’s father and brother. I was fascinated by their stories.
I watched my first jury trial when I was 10 years old. At age 14, I started working in my father’s law office during the summers and holidays. By the time I graduated from Asheville High in 1970, I knew that wanted to be a lawyer.
I attended UNC Chapel Hill for both undergraduate and law school. I was eager to get back to Asheville and begin my career. So, I took advantage of the last year of a program that allowed me to take the Bar examination and be sworn in as a lawyer after my second year in law school. I graduated from law school in December 1976.
From the beginning, my practice has involved representing people who have been injured by the negligence of others, including motor vehicle accident and medical negligence cases.
My career as a lawyer has been more rewarding than I could have ever imagined. Nothing is more satisfying than being able to help a client who has been injured or a family who has lost a parent, child or spouse because an individual or corporation chose to not follow the rules.
