C. Brown Edwards, Jr.
Brown Edwards practices in the firm’s business section. His expertise lies in estate planning, retirement planning, and probate and administration of estates and trusts. He has experience in most services needed by businesses, including the formation, organization and sale of business entities. Brown’s expertise also includes taxation, securities law, mergers and acquisitions, commercial real estate, employee benefits, contracts, and commercial lending.
Brown received his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Georgia in 1979 and his Juris Doctor from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University in 1988. Brown received his L.L.M. in Taxation from New York University in 1989.
Brown is a member of the Macon Bar Association, the State Bar of Georgia, and the American Bar Association. Brown has written for the Mercer Law Review, and he currently serves as an adjunct professor at the Walter F. George School of Law, where he teaches estate planning. Brown serves on the board of directors of the Children's Hospital of the Medical Center of Central Georgia, in the vestry of Christ Church, as the president and director of Taylor Stevens Foundation, Inc., as the director of the Zarks Family Foundation, Inc., and as a director and president of the Ronald McDonald House of Middle Georgia, Inc.
