CARRIE HAILMAN O’BRIEN practices in the firm’s Charlotte, North Carolina office, and practices law in both South Carolina and North Carolina. Ms. O’Brien’s previous experience encompasses over 15 years of litigating civil cases in both Federal and State Court. She has tried over 35 cases to verdict and handled various matters involving personal injury, premises and products liability, UTPA, construction law, restrictive covenants, and Asbestos. She has represented insurance carriers in both states. She also focuses her practice on alternative dispute resolutions as an Arbitrator and Certified Mediator in North Carolina. Ms. O’Brien graduated from the College of Charleston in 1996 and the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2000. While in law school, she was selected to compete at the National Trial Lawyers Competition, where she was a finalist. After law school, she clerked for The Honorable R. Markley Dennis, Jr. in Charleston, South Carolina. She is admitted to the South Carolina Bar, the United States District Court, District of South Carolina, the North Carolina Bar and the United States District Court, Western District of North Carolina. Ms. O’Brien is a member of the South Carolina State Bar, North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys, North Carolina State Bar and the Mecklenburg County Bar Association.
