Catherine B. Lane
Catherine practices in Nexsen Pruet's Creditors' Rights and Bankruptcy Group, and represents clients in a wide range of bankruptcy, workout, and collections matters. She also represents clients in a variety of commercial, insurance, contractual disputes.
Catherine earned her law degree with honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where she was the Executive Editor of the First Amendment Law Review. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from Greensboro College.
Her past experience includes time as a:
-Judicial Extern for Justice Paul M. Newby of the North Carolina Supreme Court;
-Summer Associate at Nexsen Pruet;
-Research assistant for the University of North Carolina School of Law’s Center on Poverty, Work, and Opportunity;
-Elementary and Middle Public School Teacher in North Carolina's Triad.
