Chris has a dynamic insolvency and finance practice concentrated in the following areas:
- Workouts. Chris frequently represents financial institutions, CMBS servicers, and distressed debt investors in workout and modification of complex distressed loans, loan sales, and exercising remedies, including receiverships, foreclosures, and forced dispositions. Chris has experience with various collateral classes and frequently confronts issues arising under Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code.
- Bankruptcy. Chris advises institutional creditors, landlords, tenants, trade creditors, and investors in bankruptcy litigation and bankruptcy-related transactions. He has represented creditors in, among other things, cash collateral matters, fraudulent transfer and preference litigation, lift-stay motions, discharge litigation, and plan confirmation issues.
- Finance and Real Estate Litigation. Chris litigates credit and real estate-related disputes. He often represents financial institutions in defending consumer financial services claims and disputes involving Articles 3 and 4 of the Uniform Commercial Code.
