Cody Cofer is Board Certified in Criminal Law. Less than 1% of Texas attorneys have met this qualification. He started his career as a prosecutor trying a variety of criminal case and representing the Texas in criminal appeals. When he entered private practice he continued developing his trial skills by trying difficult cases as second chair with more senior attorneys, for free. He has been recognized by his peers in the Fort Worth legal community as an excellent criminal attorney by being voted as Top Attorney for Criminal Law in Fort Worth, Texas Magazine for the past two years. He was also selected by his fellow attorneys in state-wide voting as a Texas Super Lawyer Rising Star. You may also have seen him featured in TIME Magazine, The Voice for the Defense, 48 Hours, 20/20, and a variety of other media outlets. He is involved in several Fort Worth legal organizations, such as serving as a Director for Tarrant County Young Lawyers and Mahon Inn of Courts. He is married and recharges his battery by fishing, hunting, and camping.
