Courtney-Elizabeth Mayo


Ms. Mayo’s practice focuses on the representation of individuals, businesses, municipal entities and employers before federal and state courts in Massachusetts, as well as before administrative agencies such as the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD) and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). Ms. Mayo has handled numerous civil jury trials and has successfully argued before the Massachusetts Appeals Court and U.S. District Court.

Ms. Mayo’s practice areas include Civil Litigation, Municipal Law, Civil Rights, Employment Litigation, Discrimination, Wrongful Termination, Construction Litigation, Appellate Litigation, Massachusetts Tort Claims Act (M.G.L. c. 258), and Insurance Coverage. In addition, Ms. Mayo has represented clients in litigation and alternative dispute resolution in matters arising from breach of contract, construction defects, lien rights, defective materials, owner interference claims, termination for default, easement project documentation, and bond claims.

Prior to joining Hassett & Donnelly, Ms. Mayo was a civil litigation associate at Nathanson & Goldberg, P.C. She has been recognized as a “Rising Star” – a top up-and-coming attorney in the state of Massachusetts under the age of 40 – bySuper Lawyers magazine in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2013, 2014 and 2015.
