Danielle Hamilton joined NSB as a Johnnie L. Cochran, Jr. Fellow in 2014, bringing her background in criminal defense, juvenile justice, and criminal justice policy to the firm’s work.
While at Harvard Law, Danielle received legal training in client-centered, holistic advocacy at Harvard’s Criminal Justice Institute, where she was responsible for managing several juvenile and criminal cases from the initial client interview through trial. She also gained litigation experience as an intern at The Bronx Defenders and as a court representative in Manhattan Family Court, advocating for placement for her juvenile clients awaiting trial in community-based, youth-focused programs rather than jail.
