David E. Kempner
David E. Kempner joined the firm in 1992.
Mr. Kempner works almost exclusively in the field of labor and employment law, with a particular emphasis in traditional labor relations including union-management matters. Mr. Kempner represents employers in all types of labor matters, including all aspects of bargaining (negotiations, mediation, fact-finding, and Act 312 arbitration), discipline, grievance and arbitration. He represents clients in the area of employment litigation including civil rights, unfair labor practice, wrongful discharge and whistleblower matters. He also provides representation in administrative matters before the NLRB/MERC (labor law), EEOC/MDCR (civil rights), MESC (unemployment) and the Wage & Hour Divisions of the U.S. Department of Labor and the State of Michigan.
