David Freedman is a 1966 graduate of Columbia University (Columbia College) and a 1973 graduate of the University of New Mexico School of Law, where he was an editor of the New Mexico Law Review. He was a founding member of the firm in 1974.
Since 1973, Mr. Freedman has been in a full-time litigation practice in both state and federal courts, including complex commercial, securities and antitrust litigation, as well as criminal defense, personal injury, wrongful death and products liability matters. His practice also includes significant class action litigation across the country principally involving antitrust, securities and contract matters, in which he has been appointed lead or liaison counsel or been a principal attorney for the class. Mr. Freedman has also obtained multi-million dollar awards for clients in FINRA securities arbitrations. His civil practice, however, is not restricted to representing plaintiffs, he has represented defendant banks, corporate officers and directors, medical and mental healthcare professionals and various corporations in connection with a wide variety of claims made against them. Mr. Freedman has also served as a mediator and arbitrator in matters involving both commercial disputes and personal injury claims.
