Mr. Troup has over three decades of courtroom experience trying contested matters in state and federal courts. He handles civil litigation, primarily consumer, commercial, real estate, personal injury, and contested probate matters, state court criminal defense matters, and has handled several hundred divorce and contested custody cases, with particular experience in military cases. He also regularly handles bankruptcy cases, primarily debtor Chapter 7 and 13 cases, with some creditor representation as well. Mr. Troup has defended successfully through trial in the US District Court employment discrimination cases, tried a riparian boundary dispute against the U.S. Department of Interior, and in the past year has successfully defended in jury trials or dispositive motions several criminal cases in state courts. He has also appeared in contested tax matters before the Board of Tax Appeals.
