Donat C. Marchand
Born in Westmore, Vermont, Don Marchand spent his youth in Hartford and Norwich, CT, graduating from Norwich Free Academy in 1951. After attending Holy Cross College, he graduated summa cum laude from the University of Connecticut with a B.S. in Accounting in 1955 and then went to Harvard Law School, where he received an L.L.B. in 1958. Following graduation, Mr. Marchand worked briefly as a civilian in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Washington, D.C. Called to active duty in July, 1958, Mr. Marchand served nearly five years as an Officer of the Judge Advocate General Corps, U.S. Air Force, in Madison, Wisconsin and Wiesbaden, Germany. In 1963, he joined Parker, Badger and Fisher in Greenwich and remained with the firm until July, 1990, when he came to Ivey, Barnum & O'Mara. He was awarded a Master of Laws in Taxation by New York University in 1967.
