Restatements of the law are rewritten interpretations of laws. Restatements are written by legal scholars from the American Law Institute. Restatements of the law are commonly used in trials by lawyers to help argue points. They do not carry the same weight as actual laws or court rulings, but they can still be useful.
Ed Moomjian is a litigation attorney whose practice focuses on complex employment litigation, employment/HR counseling, complex/commercial litigation, trade secret/intellectual property litigation, and creditor/bankruptcy litigation. In his 20 years of practicing law, Ed also has also obtained substantial experience in prosecuting and defending class actions, and is a contributing author to the leading class action treatise, Newberg On Class Actions (4th ed. 2003). Prior to becoming a lawyer, Ed worked as a Mechanical Engineer in both the aerospace and electronic medical device industries
