Elizabeth Barber is a dedicated attorney who works alongside her father in all areas of practice. Elizabeth graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2009 and was admitted to the California bar. After spending some time volunteering at the San Francisco Office of the Public Defender, she returned home to take the North Carolina bar and practice law with her father.
Elizabeth spent her early childhood in Pittsboro riding her bike to McCrimmon’s Drug store for ice cream and visiting her father at his law office in town. Little did she know that one day she would be following in his footsteps. Elizabeth went on to attend the University of Virginia where she majored in Foreign Affairs. After college, she spent time working for the National Outdoor Leadership School first in Mexico and then in Wyoming. During this time, Elizabeth applied to the Peace Corps. She was accepted and assigned to Costa Rica, where she served two years as a Children, Youth, and Families volunteer. As a volunteer, she started Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts in her town, organized a national conference for adolescent girls focusing on life skills and health issues, and solidified her Spanish language skills.
