Emily Warren received her J.D. from Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California, Berkeley, and joined Gutterman Griffiths PC after a 19 year successful career as a prosecutor in the District Attorney’s Office for the 18th Judicial District. During that time, Emily developed outstanding litigation skills, with extensive trial experience involving some of the most serious and complex of criminal cases, including the prosecution of Robert Ray and Sir Mario Owens for the murders of Javad Marshall-Fields and his fiancée, Vivian Wolfe.
Emily’s trial work has focused on violent conflicts, sex offenses, and offenses against children. Many of her cases have involved issues of mental illness, addiction, domestic violence, and intrafamilial abuse. Especially during her 8 years in and supervising the Special Victims Unit, Emily worked with hundreds of victims and witnesses. She excels at helping those under extreme emotional stress, which skills have translated to the myriad high conflict family disputes she now addresses in her family law practice.
