Eric K. Englebardt
Eric Englebardt became a lawyer because he wanted to try cases and spent a great deal of the first 15 years of his legal practice in the courtroom, trying over 70 cases to jury verdicts. However, with the advent of alternative dispute resolution, Eric found that more and more of his time was being spent at the mediation table rather than in the courtroom. After some soul-searching about the direction of his practice, Eric enrolled in a 40-hour mediation course and was certified as a mediator. While he still litigates cases as primary counsel for a variety of clients, with over 1400 mediations under his belt, Eric now describes himself as a mediator who litigates rather than a litigator who mediates.
