Erik R. Ashman
A long time native of Elkin, North Carolina, Erik graduated from Elkin High School in 2003. After high school, Erik attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, and graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Minor in History. While attending UNCW, Erik interned in the New Hanover District Attorney’s Office under District Attorney, Ben David.
After college, Erik went to work at Inclinix, a Contract Research Organization, where he worked with medical doctors to facilitate clinical trials of perspective new prescription drugs. In 2008, Erik decided to pursue his life-long dream of becoming a lawyer by attending the Elon Univesity School of Law. During law school, Erik was honored to intern for criminal defense attorney Locke Clifford of Clifford, Clendenin & O’Hale in Greensboro, NC. Upon being admitted in 2011 to the North Carolina Bar, Erik became an associate at Neaves & Gillespie, PA.
