Erin Moran Shapiro
Erin Moran Shapiro is a partner with the Boston Law firm of Atwood & Cherny, a nationally recognized law firm concentrating in the practice of Family Law. She is an active member of the Family Law Sections of the Boston, Worcester and Massachusetts Bar Associations.
Ms. Shapiro has been involved in various complex matrimonial matters and custody disputes on both the trial and appellate levels. She represented the late Karen Sharpe who was murdered by her husband, Dr. Richard Sharpe, during their divorce litigation. This matter received national media attention and has been the subject of many television shows, including Court TV and Dateline. Ms. Shapiro's appellate work has included two recent decisions which have defined the state of the law in the Commonwealth on the enforceability of prenuptial agreements. She has also authored "5th Amendment and Domestic Relations Matters", Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly, 31 M.L.W. 1411 (March 17, 2003).
