Glenn S. Swartzfager
Glenn Swartzfager is of counsel to the Hancock Law Firm, PLLC, where he concentrates his practice in the areas of criminal defense, wrongful termination and civil litigation. He maintains an active trial and appellate practice at the firm and also supervises and assists some of the firm’s other attorneys.
Glenn has been an Adjunct Professor of Law at the Mississippi College School of Law for more than ten years, teaching classes in Capital Punishment, Appellate Advocacy and Trial Advocacy.
Glenn is the former Director of the Mississippi Office of Capital Post-Conviction Counsel, where he served as lead counsel in state post-conviction proceedings for indigent defendants sentenced to death. He was also the deputy Director for the Mississippi Office of Indigent Appeals in 2007, arguing and litigating direct appeals before the Mississippi Supreme Court and the Mississippi Court of Appeals on behalf of indigent criminal defendants convicted of various felonies. Glenn has been a Staff Attorney for the Mississippi Supreme Court, a Youth Court Public Defender in Jones County, and a Special Assistant Attorney General for the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office.
