H. Ligon Bundy
Ligon was born in Harriman, Tennessee on November 2, 1949, and grew up in Burlington, N.C. He moved to Monroe, N.C. upon graduation from law school in 1976, and has maintained a law office in Monroe since then. Ligon and Don Perry (who is now retired) founded the firm of Perry & Bundy, Attorneys on July 1, 1980, which has eventually grown into the present firm of Perry, Bundy, Plyler, Long & Cox, L.L.P.
Ligon handles a variety of legal matters, including complex civil litigation, personal injury and wrongful death, estate administration and litigation arising out of estate matters, real estate litigation (including condemnation and land title issues), and local government law. He has served as town attorney for several municipalities in Union County, and is currently serving as Union County Attorney.
Ligon’s wife, Linda, is an operating room nurse. They have 3 adult children. Ligon and Linda enjoy traveling, gardening, and hiking in the mountains of North Carolina.
