Supra is a Latin term meaning "above," which is commonly used in legal documents such as briefs, court opinions or motions. It tells the reader that the information has already been mentioned or cited. Its use also helps the writer by eliminating the need for repetitive language and full citations. It is usually italicized.
Heidi Kendall-Sage is a partner with the firm of Alcorn Sage Schwartz & Magrath and concentrates her practice in worker’s compensation claims, social security disability, personal injury claims, and civil litigation.
