Mr. Smith has experience in school law, employment law, insurance coverage litigation, appellate practice, premises liability and general litigation. He is a Cincinnati native, receiving a B.A. degree in History from Kenyon College in 1994, and a J.D. degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 1997. Mr. Smith is admitted to the Ohio Bar, the Kentucky Bar, the Eastern District of Kentucky, and the Southern and Northern Districts of Ohio. He is a member of the Cincinnati Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association and the Ohio Association of Civil Trial Attorneys, and Kentucky Bar Association. He has co-authored amicus curiae briefs for the Ohio Association of Civil Trial Attorneys and Nationwide Insurance Companies and an article on constitutional law and punitive damages for the Defense Research Institute (July 2003).
