J. Michael Stephenson
J. Michael Stephenson has focused his interest in representing individuals and businesses. Attorney Stephenson has concentrated his practice in areas including social security disability, formation of business entities, wills and estates, and representing small cities and towns as city attorney. Attorney Stephenson’s prior work experience includes practicing as an attorney with Kent J. Rubens who represented a multitude of individuals and businesses with complex claims and defenses including his representation of school districts, large corporations and insurance defense. Attorney Stephenson has focused his interest in social security disability cases since leaving the association with Kent. J. Rubens in 2002.In addition, Attorney Stephenson practices in the State Courts of Arkansas, Supreme Court of Arkansas and Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas. Attorney Stephenson currently represents the Marion School District and has been the Marion District Judge since 2005 and is currently serving a term which ends in 2012.Attorney Stephenson obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree at Arkansas State University in 1986 and his “Juris” Doctor degree at the University of Memphis in 1991. He has practiced law in West Memphis, Arkansas since 1991 handling cases primarily in Arkansas. Currently Attorney Stephenson is serving on the Technology Equipment Revolving Loan Fund Committee appointed by Governor, Mike Beebe, in 2008.
