Jacqueline N. Ortiz belongs to the Firm's litigation group. She practices primarily in the areas of commercial litigation, creditors' rights and bankruptcy litigation. She has experience representing financial institutions and businesses in various commercial matters including foreclosures, loan workouts, defense of lender liability claims, and breach of contract claims. She has represented chapter 7 and chapter 11 bankruptcy trustees, chapter 11 debtors in possession, and creditors in all bankruptcy proceedings. She also has litigated bankruptcy issues such as plan confirmations, objections to dischargeability, and fraudulent and preferential transfer actions.
