James D. Burns
James D. Burns is the founder and fearless leader of The Burns Law Firm, PLLC. He handles most of the bankruptcy and criminal practice of the firm, as well as the representation of indigent parents in DHS cases. Together with Jack, he also handles civil litigation, probate, guardianship, and adoption proceedings.
James was born and raised in Southern California. He obtained a B.S. in physics from the University of California at Bakersfield in 1986 and a Masters of Divinity from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1990. James received his legal education at the UALR William H. Bowen School of Law in Little Rock, Arkansas, graduating with high honors in 2006.
James Burns is also known as Pastor James Burns, having been ordained in the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod in 1990. He has continuously served congregations ever since then in Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, and, since 1992, in Arkansas. He is currently the pastor of First Lutheran Church in Benton.
