JAMES D. PHILLIPS
Experienced in family law and criminal defense, James Phillips started his career in Mississippi and developed a reputation as a steward of justice for neglected and abused children. As an attorney at the Rankin County Prosecutor’s Office, Mr. Phillips was undefeated in his cases. He built upon this experience with more than 3,000 cases prosecuted as the Assistant State Attorney in the 1st and 18th Judicial Circuits in Florida.
After working for the states of Mississippi and Florida, Mr. Phillips decided to enter the private sector. Demonstrating his legal acumen, he quickly ascended the ranks to Senior Associate at a criminal defense and family law firm in Florida. He developed a reputation for defending major felony crimes throughout the state as well as at the federal level. Some of the clients he defended were accused of robbery, manslaughter, burglary, murder, crimes of a sexual nature, and Internet crimes.
