Jefferson Moors

I am a business litigation attorney and focus my practice on helping clients build strategies to avoid the common mistakes that can easily lead to charges of white collar crime – and the fines, penalties, and damages from prosecution that can come with them.

When criminal investigations occur, I aggressively counsel businesses through virtually every phase of defense – including responses to search warrants and subpoenas, negotiations with law enforcement and regulators, and representation through trial.

My background includes litigating and arguing civil motions, preparing pleadings and discovery for civil litigation, ensuring compliance with federal and state legislation, and negotiating settlements.

Before entering the field of law, I worked in education, holding positions in the New York City school system. I also worked in legal publishing, serving as the Law Acquisitions Editor for Carolina Academic Press, where I developed legal texts for publication.
