Jennifer S. Joffe specializes in complex family law counseling and litigation. She became a Shareholder of Colten Cummins Watson & Vincent P.C. in 2009. Prior to joining the firm in 2003 as an Associate Attorney, Ms. Joffe clerked for the Honorable Jane Marum Roush, the Fairfax County Circuit Court and for the Honorable Katherine D. Savage, the Montgomery County Circuit Court in Rockville, Maryland.
Ms. Joffe is a recipient of an AV Preeminent rating (the highest rating) in Legal Ability and Ethical Standards with Martindale Hubbell, as well as the 2014 Bar Register of Preeminent Women Lawyers. From 2012-2014, she served as the Chair of the Domestic Relations Subcommittee for the Fairfax County Circuit Court Committee. She is also an active participant in the Fairfax County Circuit Court Committee, the George Mason American Inn of Court and the Northern Virginia Women’s Attorney’s Association. Ms. Joffe serves as a Neutral Case Evaluator for custody and equitable distribution matters in Virginia’s Nineteenth Judicial District, and she speaks regularly at Second Saturday Program for Brilliant Exits, an educational and support workshop about separation and divorce matters.
Ms. Joffe was selected for the 2014 list of Virginia Super Lawyers after having been recognized as a “Rising Star” by Virginia Super Lawyers in 2010-2013. She has also been recognized as a “Rising Star” in domestic relations law by the Washington Post and the Washington DC Super Lawyers.
Ms. Joffe received her law degree in 2001 from the Washington College of Law, American University in Washington, D.C. She has a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Ohio State University.
