Ms. Alexander is an experienced criminal and civil trial attorney who has tried hundreds of cases in her career, in both state and federal courts. Ms. Alexander spent nearly six years working as an Assistant State’s Attorney at the Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney’s Office. While a prosecutor, Ms. Alexander was a member of the Violent Crimes Trial Team, and regularly prosecuted high profile violent crimes including being the lead prosecutor on the Annapolis Mall shooting trial. While a prosecutor, Ms. Alexander trained numerous police officers and agencies across the State of Maryland on various criminal law issues instructing on behalf of the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration and the University of Maryland DUI Institute. Ms. Alexander previously served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Baltimore School of Law, where she instructed first and second year law students on writing, research and oral advocacy skills. In 2009, Ms. Alexander was voted by her peers as a “Leading Lawyer” in What’s Up Annapolis magazine. Again in 2014 Ms. Alexander was voted by her peers as a “Leading Lawyer” in What’s Up Annapolis magazine in the practice area of criminal defense.
