Jessica Lee Gooding
Jessica "Jess" Gooding joined Turner Padget as a law clerk in 2011, and is now an associate focusing in the areas of Employment Law and Personal Injury Litigation. Jess received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina Honors College, where she majored in Finance and Marketing. She also attended law school at USC, where she graduated magna cum laude in 2013. Having been a Gamecock for seven years, one of Jess’s favorite places to spend a Saturday is Williams Brice stadium.
During law school, Jess served as a law school ambassador, a peer mentor, and the Symposium Editor for the South Carolina Law Review. She planned the 2013 Symposium, The Practice of Law in the Twenty-first Century: The Intersection of Law and Technology, which discussed developments in e-discovery, the impact technology has had on court rules, and ethical implications of technological advances. Jess’s interest in this area carried through into her career, and she had the opportunity to give a presentation in 2013 to other lawyers on ethical considerations in E-Discovery, as well as using electronic communications in the practice of law.
