Jody L. Yetzer
Jody Yetzer has been with the firm since 2001. Her area of practice is civil litigation with a focus on employment and civil rights. Jody has particular expertise representing plaintiffs in class action and pattern-and-practice employment cases, see e.g., Wright v. Stern, 01CV4437 (S.D.N.Y.), 553 F. Supp.2d 337 (S.D.N.Y. 2008) and 450 F. Supp.2d 335 (S.D.N.Y. 2006) (NYC agrees to pay $21 million to settle employment discrimination class action on behalf of African-American and Hispanic employees of the NYC Parks Department); Freeman v. City of New York, 13CV6329 (S.D.N.Y). She also has been actively involved in protecting the rights of public sector employee "whistleblowers", see e.g., Curry v. City of New York, Index No. 104146/11 (N.Y. Co. Sup. Ct.), and the liberty of persons subject to governmental misconduct influenced by political agendas, see, e.g., Victory v. Pataki, 02CV0031 (W.D.N.Y.). Jody practices in both federal and state courts and appears before administrative tribunals.
