A spite fence is a fence that one neighbor builds to annoy another neighbor. These fences are often built with wood, metal or even shrubs. In the context of the law, it is usually legal for people to build fences on their property. However, there can be some restriction as to the height of the fence and materials used to build it.
John A. Singer (Associate) was admitted to the bar in 2010. He is licensed to practice in the states of Iowa and Illinois, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District Court of Iowa, and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Political science from the University of Iowa, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Iowa College of Law. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Iowa State Bar Association, the Rock Island County Bar Association, and the Scott County Bar Association. He is presently an at-large member of the Executive Council for the Young Lawyers Division of the Iowa State Bar Association. John was also a four year varsity letter winner in Men's Diving at the University of Iowa.
John concentrates his practice in several areas. John's family law practice includes divorces, establishing child custody and/or visitation, modifying child custody and/or visitation, guardianships for minors, and establishing or modifying child support obligations. John's criminal defense practice includes traffic tickets, misdemeanors, OWIs/DUIs, and felonies. John recently was successful defending a client against a charge of 1st degree burglary. John also practices in the areas of employment law and unemployment hearings and appeals.
