JOHN CUMMINS III
Mr. Cummins was born in Burlington, Vermont, and grew up in upstate New York. He received his B.A. from Amherst College in 1972, and J.D. from Catholic University in 1976. He currently resides in Arlington County, Virginia.
Mr. Cummins was admitted to the Virginia Bar in 1976 and the District of Columbia Bar in 1979. He is licensed to practice before all courts in the Commonwealth of Virginia, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, and the Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia. Mr. Cummins is a member of the District of Columbia Bar Association, the Fairfax Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Virginia State Bar.
Mr. Cummins practices in the area of commercial real estate transaction, creditors rights, estate and trust planning and administration, bankruptcy, administrative law and general civil litigation. He was recognized in the December 2004 issue of the Washingtonian Magazine as one of the Top Lawyers in estate and trust planning and administration.
