Jonathan M. Blocker
Jonathan Blocker knows that being an effective communicator – both inside and outside the courtroom – is key to building strong relationships that, in turn, are critical to obtaining favorable results for his clients. A passionate litigator, his legal experience is grounded in trial work – having conducted more than 30 jury trials to verdict for cases involving an array of serious criminal offenses. While Jonathan’s practice at Christian & Small focuses primarily on medical malpractice, he also works on cyber and data breach liability, aviation and liquor liability matters.
Though new to Birmingham, Jonathan has a long history of community engagement. He currently is a member of REV Birmingham’s Young Professionals, and has served as a mentor with the College Bound Success program for teens. Formerly, Jonathan worked with the YMCA Teen Achievers Youth-in-Government program wherein he coached students for annual moot court and legislative competitions in Tallahassee, Fla. In legal circles, his involvement has included leadership roles with the Paul C. Perkins Bar Association, where he served as President-Elect, and the Orange County Bar Association Foundation, where he was a board member.
