Joseph C. Blanton, Jr.
JOSEPH C. BLANTON, JR. has been involved in high stakes personal injury and “bet the company” commercial litigation and complex transactions in Southeast Missouri and around Missouri for nearly three decades. Blanton graduated from Sikeston High School as Valedictorian and Class President in 1978. He graduated from the University of Virginia in 1982 and the University of Texas Law School in 1985. He is currently a candidate in the Masters of Science in History distance learning program at the University of Edinburgh, UK. From 1985 to 1987, he served as law clerk for the Hon. Stephen N. Limbaugh Sr., U.S. District Judge for the Eastern and Western Districts of Missouri.
Blanton practices primarily in the areas of medical malpractice and product liability defense, complex commercial litigation, Federal Court litigation, probate and trust litigation, business transactions, and estate planning. He is a former member of the Board of Governors of The Missouri Bar, The Supreme Court Civil Rules Committee and the Missouri Bar’s Appellate Judicial Performance Evaluation Committee.
