Kasee Sparks Heisterhagen
Kasee handles personal injury claims, including Jones Act and the Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act, and works with clients on cargo matters, property damage, and regulatory and administrative issues. Kasee serves on the Board of Directors for the Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute and on the Marine Finance Committee of the Maritime Law Association. Kasee handles bankruptcy litigation across the Southeast in chapters 7, 11, 12 and 13. She advises debtors, secured and unsecured creditors and fiduciaries in workouts, debt restructuring, financial transactions and foreclosures.
Kasee practices in both state and federal court and is hands-on at each stage of litigation. Prior to joining the firm, she clerked for The Honorable Margaret A. Mahoney, Chief Judge, United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Alabama. Kasee served as Lead Articles Editor for the Law & Psychology Review during law school. In addition, she was the Chairman of the Moot Court Board and a member of the Tax Law Moot Court Team.
