Keenan R. Goldsby
Keenan Goldsby is a graduate of Duke University and the University of Pennsylvania Law School and has been practicing family law in Northern Virginia for over twenty years.
Mr. Goldsby's practice encompasses all aspects of family law, including the negotiation, litigation and appeal of cases involving separation and divorce, child custody and visitation, child and spousal support, and the division of marital property.
Mr. Goldsby has litigated and settled numerous cases involving the equitable distribution of complex marital assets, including closely-held business and partnership interests, unique deferred compensation plans (e.g., stock options and restricted stock), retirement plans/pensions, significant investment portfolios and trusts. He has also represented both recipients and payors of child support and spousal support (alimony), and in that context has significant experience addressing the imputation of income to a party who is unemployed or underemployed. He has represented both mothers and fathers in contested custody and visitation cases involving a wide range of issues including substance abuse and mental health, parental alienation and the relocation of a parent.
